The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday morning carried out raids in Delhi, NCR, Kolkata and Siliguri in connection with the Commonwealth Games scam.
According to sources, the raids were conducted with regard to the scam concerning the laying of synthetic tracks laid across stadia during the Games.
The investigating agency has, meanwhile, four new cases in the Commonwealth Games scam.The raids were carried out in 20 places across Delhi, NCR, Kolkata and Siliguri.
Officials of CPWD, DDA and a private firm by the name of M/S Shiv Naresh are being raided by the CBI.
The irregularities in the laying of the synthetic tracks had allegedly caused an estimated loss of about Rs 30 crore.
